I design spaces that are grounded in place, shaped by people, and alive with purpose. Whether it’s a modern spa overlooking the hills in Portugal, or a thoughtful renovation of a shotgun house here in Florida, my work is rooted in both clarity and care.
Before launching SKG Architecture, I spent years in residential and commercial architecture, learning how to balance vision with constraints, aesthetics with context, and beauty with budget. Through every phase, I’ve stayed focused on what matters most: designing environments that support real life, quiet mornings, creative energy, deep rest, and everything in between.
SKG Architecture is about more than just buildings. It’s about creating spaces that support a fuller, healthier, more intentional way of living, for individuals, families, and communities. LISTEN

Every project starts by listening to your story, your goals, and what matters most. This is where good design begins: with intention. PRE DESIGN This is the listening phase. Before any sketches are drawn, we take time to understand the people, place, and purpose behind the project. We study the site, review any zoning or code constraints, and talk in depth about your goals, budget, and vision. This groundwork ensures we start with clarity and shared direction, so the design reflects not just what you want to build, but why.
SKETCH
Ideas take shape.
Through sketches, studies, and early concepts, we explore form, flow, and possibility. This is where vision meets imagination. SCHEMATIC DESIGN Here, ideas take shape. We explore big-picture concepts through sketches, diagrams, and preliminary models, translating abstract goals into spatial possibilities. It’s a collaborative and creative process, where we test layouts, scale, massing, and style; making sure the design resonates with your values and fits your life or business. You’ll start to see how the story of the building might unfold.
REFINE
The details matter.
This is where design becomes architecture. Where materials, light, scale, and experience come into focus. Every decision has purpose. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT Now we refine. The approved concept is developed in more detail, integrating materials, structure, systems, and code compliance. We coordinate with consultants as needed and begin to hone the character of the project, inside and out. By the end of this phase, you’ll have a strong sense of what the finished space will look and feel like, with clearer drawings, elevations, and material palettes. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION This is where vision becomes instruction. We produce the detailed technical drawings and specifications that contractors will use to price, permit, and build the project. Every line on the page carries intention; from structure to finishes ensuring the design is executed as imagined. This phase demands precision, coordination, and care, and we handle it all with the same thoughtfulness that shaped the early ideas.
DELIVER
Built to belong.
We bring the final design to life; thoughtfully, collaboratively, and with care. What we deliver is more than a building; it's a story made tangible, a place to belong. CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION Construction observation is the phase where the design comes to life on site. The architect visits the project during construction to review progress, answer questions, and provide clarity when decisions arise. While optional, it is a valuable way to keep the work aligned with the drawings, address challenges promptly, and maintain the quality and intent of the design.
